What Blue Cheese Digital Did…

East Fest has become an annual event, celebrating Eastern European culture and community. The event is held outdoors in the centre of Luton, Bedfordshire. The vision behind East Fest is to bring all Luton communities closer together through education and celebration. These communities include: Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Ukrainian and many more.

#EASTFEST23 will take place on 16.09.23 in St George’s Square, and entry is free. The people of Luton (and general public) are invited to come along and share in this wonderful multi-artform celebration. People can enjoy great music, unique crafts, cultural costumes, theatre and dance; and some of the most delicious street foods from varying cultures.

East Fest approached Blue Cheese Digital to develop a website for their annual event, with a view to utilising their current branding. Their goal was to create a website that was simple to use yet visually inspiring. East Fest wanted an online space that showed people what their event was about, whilst also allowing people to find relevant information on the event; such as where and when it is being held, past photos and what will be happening during the day!

Blue Cheese Digital set about creating a WordPress website with a responsive design; allowing all visitors to the event to explore the website on any device. We worked with East Fest to create a visually inspiring but also informative site, through the use of strong, visual banners and imagery throughout. Blue Cheese Digital also aided East Fest with copy-writing to ensure the event would be searchable and to increase the SERP visibility.

We’re really pleased with the outcome of the website; and more importantly so too are East Fest. We all feel it showcases their unique event and what people can come to expect on the day!
