Who are Diverse FM?

Diverse FM was established in 1998, with its first broadcasting on air in the year 2000. Since its inception, Diverse FM has been a beacon of diversity, community, and empowerment; mirroring the values and aspirations at Diverse FM Community Media & Training.

What was the project?

Diverse FM approached Blue Cheese Digital to create a brochure for their project ‘Voices of the Past – Diverse FM The History of Radio’, which was supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund; this was completed, which was a 24 page brochure.

After this was completed Diverse FM again approached Blue Cheese Digital to create promotional material for the project, which has included a roll up banner, DVD Label & invitations cards for the launch of the project on the 14th November in Luton.

We first designed the DVD Label, which was created to be very similar to the front-cover of the Voices of the past brochure; to create a connection to the voices of the past project.

Once, this was completed we concentrated on creating an invitation card, whereby Diverse FM sent all of the relevant content including, timings, dates and the official itinerary. Again, we created this in the branding of the project; we wanted to create a brand identity to the project so anyone seeing the project will have the design in their mind.

Lastly, we completed the branding for the event with a roll up banner, which will be used when entering the venue. Again, we ensured all of the designs were consistent with the ‘Voices of the Past, Diverse FM’ Booklet. We also wanted to promote and engage people to go and visit the Diverse FM website, so we have included a QR code for people to scan to go direct to the website and also where people can find Diverse FM through their mobile, online, DAB & through an FM frequency.

We can’t wait to attend the event to celebrate 25 years of Diverse FM & the Voices of the Past project, which has been supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
