NAP (name, address & phone number) is one of the most important factors for both local listing rankings and organic rankings; due to it being part of an on-page signal.
Every time you have registered your business on a social network or local listing, you are effectively creating a NAP reference; it’s important that all of these are consistent. You don’t want a potential customer going to the wrong location or calling a number that is incorrect; this will leave the potential customer with a negative experience; and can also lead to negative word of mouth for your business.
Worst of all, if your NAP is inconsistent, Google won’t know which one to publish and it may not publish any of these details on SERP (Search Engine Results Page). So make sure all business information is correct and consistent across the board.
Note* – Make sure you’re not including your NAP in an image, which is a common problem as search engine crawlers can’t crawl the text on an image.
If you’re not sure where your NAP is we recommend using: https://www.brightlocal.com/local-seo-tools/citation-tracker/
