Who are Black Country Multicultural Day?
Black Country Multicultural Day (BCMD) is an event to showcase how the people of the Black Country have become cultural diverse in recent years, and about promoting understanding within communities. 2024 saw the fourth event, following success of the last 3 years in Dudley Town Centre & Halesowen.
BCMD is all about making friends with people from different backgrounds and life experiences; and learning about their values. Through education and communication, the event hoped to promote the spirit of peace, harmony and unity in the community.
What was the project?
Black Country Multicultural Day approached Blue Cheese Digital after the success of designing the Sponsorship pack for the event and asked us for support in managing the social channels which were Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. The Multicultural day happened on the 20th July at Somers Square, Halesowen. The client wanted to promote the event in the local community, and wider areas of Birmingham & the Black Country. The event showcased various acts including, live music, arts and crafts, dance workshops and funfair rides across 2 locations.
